My name is Linnet and I’m a textile addict.

I have been obsessed with textile and clothing related things my whole life. I learned to knit, crochet and hand sew when I was a little girl; I learned to use a domestic sewing machine at the age of ten. As a teen, when I wanted clothes I couldn’t afford, I taught myself to follow a sewing pattern and make things for myself. I was that girl who whipped out her knitting/crochet whenever and wherever she sat down.
Later, I did an Advanced Certificate in Clothing Manufacture at Box Hill Institute, where I learned an enormous amount of useful skills; got into costume design and making for over ten years; started my own fashion label; and then co-founded a studio making samples and small production runs for independent designers. I have worked for others as a sample machinist, pattern maker, production manager and product developer/troubleshooter.
Now I’m making patterns for myself and sharing them with you, because – why not?!
